Wearing Screed
Wearing screed is a thin layer applied on top of a base to provide extra durability and aesthetics. A vital component in resin flooring, its primary purpose is to offer a protective surface against damage from chemicals and heavy foot traffic.
It serves as a finishing layer for epoxy and polyurethane resin systems so is mostly used in industrial, commercial, and residential settings.
Although they can be expensive initially to have them installed, the benefits of applying a wearing screed are the increased longevity of the flooring and the customisable designs they allow.
